Senior Building Code Consultant
About the job:
We are looking to expand our Vancouver team by adding a skilled Senior Consultant who can mentor intermediate and junior staff, lead projects and teams while developing and documenting approaches to building code compliance in Fire Protection and Life Safety Building Code reports.
Are you a P.Eng., Registered Architect or Technologist (or Training/eligible to become one) who enjoys rigid structure, ridiculous hours, isolation in cubicles, limited access to projects, and doing the same thing every day? If so, this is not the job for you. We are a decidedly different firm and it is a great time to join us.
Our Vancouver office has an opportunity for a Senior Building Code Consultant. The individual will be responsible for identifying building code issues, interpreting the building code, developing alternative solutions and performance-based approaches to demonstrate compliance, and documenting approaches in reports and code compliance drawings. The candidate will bring their experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and enforcement authorities to implement Fire Protection and Life Safety regulations and standards.
