For the development of the UBC Lands, LMDG in conjunction with UBC Properties Inc. (formerly UBC Real Estate Corp.) has developed a program that is comparable to the conventional development permit and building permit processes as would normally be associated with a municipality. Under this program, in addition to reviewing development permit drawings, we also conduct detailed documentation reviews of the architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications for the purpose of issuing building permits; conduct periodic field reviews during construction; and upon satisfactory completion of construction, issue occupancy permits.

LMDG has also been retained by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) to act as the independent code compliance consultant. In this role, we conduct documentation reviews for the purpose of recommending the issuance of Facility Alteration Permits (i.e., building permits), and field reviews for the purpose of recommending the issuance of Occupancy Permits; and assist in administering the permit issuance process for the GTAA.

LMDG has also provided or is currently providing similar services for the Vancouver International Airport Authority and the Squamish Indian Band.
